Did you know that the average American uses 8 tons of stone every year?
Halquist Stone is proud to be one of Wisconsin's leading producers of construction aggregates. These products form the foundation
of our cities, towns and transportation networks. Ancient cities that were built entirely out of stone thousands of years ago
still exist today. They're durable and can be used in a variety of applications.
Our aggregate product line includes traffic bond, sewer chips, sand, riprap and agricultural lime. These materials are
produced from our famous Wisconsin Limestone deposits. Our quarrying process typically begins with drilling and
blasting the rock into more manageable pieces. The material then goes through various stages of crushing and
screening to produce the sizes and specifications desired by our customers.
Construction aggregates are used in various ways:
• As a base under highways, walkways, patios, parking lots
• To aid in erosion control, water filtration and purification
• As a raw material that we rely on sustaining a quality of life: housing, schools, hospitals, sewer systems, railways,
airports and many other uses
Halquist owns and operates 3 aggregate facilities throughout the four county Milwaukee metro area and one in Chilton, Wisconsin.
In addition to mining our own limestone, our quarries accept used concrete where we can often recycle and re-crush the material, after careful inspection, to meet the growing demands of our customers.
